Two people were injured after a four ton Toyota Dyna truck collided into three stationary vehicles at the Canelands Intersection in Verulam this afternoon.
At approximately 16:19 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists reporting the incident. Upon arrival the truck was found lying in a ditch several meters away from the point of impact.
According to witnesses three vehicles were stationary at the robots when the truck drove at high speed through a red robot and collided into a Toyota Hilux bakkie. The bakkie spun around and collided into a Renault Kwid which knocked into a Mazda bakkie that was behind it.
A female occupant of the Renault Kwid who is 6 months pregnant and the driver of the Toyota Dyna truck sustained moderate injuries & were transported to Osindisweni Hospital by ambulance.
