At approximately 12:30pm on Monday 26th August, First Responder KZN ambulance service received a call of a truck that had gone into a building in Monte Carlo Road in the Westmead area, Pinetown and immediately dispatched vehicles to the scene.
On arrival, paramedics found that a rig towing a truck had left the road, entered a property and collided with a tree.
One passenger was entrapped in the truck with serious injuries.
Paramedics from Netcare911 worked with the Ethekwini fire department to free the man and stabilise him before transporting him to hospital.
The driver of the truck and a second passengers were found to have sustained moderate injuries and were stabilized on scene by paramedics from First Responder KZN and Redline Response, before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
Last month our paramedics attended a similar incident where a truck driver lost his life after his truck collided into the building in the same property.
