The Jaws Of Life was used to free the entrapped driver of an overturned truck on Vincent Dickenson Road in Canelands – KZN last night (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene shortly before midnight and discovered the Fuso water tanker lying on its side. Three men managed to exit the vehicle through the passenger window while the driver was trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters utilised the Jaws Of Life and extracted the man through the windscreen. The injured sustained mild to moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
Circumstances leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
