Since September 2018 ATAC Roma (Azienda per la mobilità del Comune di Roma) is increasing the fire safety of their bus fleet together with Dafo Vehicle Fire Protection. The project consists of retrofitting 400 buses by installing fire suppression systems in the engine compartments of the buses until April 2019.
