Three people have been injured one seriously so when the Truck they were in somehow lost control and veered off the road colliding into a building on Gillits Road, Pinetown just after 7am this morning.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the three men all entrapped in the wreckage. Immediately Advanced Life Support Paramedics as well as Durban Fire Department was dispatched to assist on the scene. Due to the prolonged entrapment as well as the injuries sustained the Lenmed 1 Aeromedical Helicopter was activated to assist. Whilst the Durban Fire Department used the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to free the men Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised the men. Once freed the men were transported to Lenmed Nu Shifa Hospital for the further care that they required.
At this stage the events leading up to this crash is unknown however SAPS will be investigating further.
